Tongkat Ali tea is traditionally prepared by simmering dried root slices in water. The tea is known for its extreme bitterness, but also its effectiveness.
📋 Ingredients
10–20 grams of Tongkat Ali root chips (dried, sliced)
1 liter (4 cups) of clean water
🔥 Preparation Steps
Rinse the root chips: Briefly rinse them under cool running water to remove any dust.
Boil the water: In a pot, bring 500 ml (2 cups) of water to a boil.
Simmer the roots: Add the Tongkat Ali chips to the boiling water. Reduce heat and simmer for 20–30 minutes.
Strain and serve: Pour the tea through a strainer into a cup. You may reuse the chips once more if desired.
☕ Tip: The tea is very bitter. You may add ginger, lemon, or honey to soften the flavor. Drink every day for 2 weeks, then stop for 1 week.
